Keep losing Visual Build license

We are using VBP version 7.2a. We keep loosing our license every so often. I have not been able to pinpoint a situation or timing yet. However, it is causing problems where nightly builds are not running due to the loss of the license.

Can you please give some guidence as to why we loose our license, what I should look at to see if we are doing something on our side, or how we can prevent this?

Until version 7.2a we did not have any issues like this. I have a second 6.0 license and that has never lost it's license.

That logic is implemented by a third-party licensing/protection component (and they don't divulge how the license info is stored), and we haven't seen or heard of this behavior before, but you should be able to use one of the alternative registration techniques described at the bottom of Introduction -> Installation in the offline help to keep it registered.

I found the automated entry of the license, thanks.

When I went to look at doing this I noticed that my license was back even though I did not do anything.

Any ideas why or how it would or could get lost and then come back?

Something (resident security software?) must at times be preventing the licensing component within Visual Build from reading the license info.

We also keep getting this from time to time (7.7a). Unfortunately, it has happened several times a week lately. Furthermore, it happens in the middle of a build, between two Visual Build sub-project calls.

Exactly how do we apply a workaround in this case? I find the Help section to be a bit vague on this.
