Can't save Excel items; crashes UR

hi,

I'm having a problem with Excel-type items. When I try to save them, I get a message "cannot access read-only document". If I have actually made a change, I then get the "Server Busy" message and I have to kill the UR process to get out of it.

This happens both with Excel files I have imported and with items I have created within UR from an Excel item template.

In Options, I have included .xlsx and .zip under "File extensions to display in internal browser view", and in "File extensions to open stored documents writeable".

After trying to open/save/change various Excel items and getting this "can't access" message, I now find the item content will not display at all, and I get various bogus "Downloading to temp folder" messages any time I try and access them.

I should add that up till now I made a lot of use of this type of item and it worked fine.

Which version of Office? Windows version? Did anything change recently when it stopped working?

It's Windows 7 and Office 2007.

Eventually it just started working properly again, couldn't see there was any change that would have led to that. I had done the usual things, Compact and Repair, close down UR and start again and the problem was still there. Then it just starting working.

I have a feeling it may have something to do with having an Excel spreadsheet open at the same time as an Excel item is open in UR. But I'm not sure. At any rate it's working now.
